Porocel’s proprietary rejuvenation technology is a post-regeneration processing step in which the catalyst’s Type I or Type II active metals are re-dispersed and returned to their original positions. The ExcelSM rejuvenation technology turns type I catalysts into type II catalysts, and boost the activity of type II catalysts over 90% in comparison to fresh.

Batches planed for rejuvenation will be carefully evaluated in accordance with acceptance criteria prior to being accepted for rejuvenation.

The results of Porocel ExcelSM rejuvenated catalyst will be summarized in a report and then communicated to the Customer.

Types of regenerated catalysts that work well with Porocel ExcelSM are indicated below:

  • Catalysts that come from clean services, such as DHT, KHT, HCPT, or NHT units without coker feedstock.
  • NiMo, CoMo, or NiCoMo on alumina Type I or Type II. (Some Type I catalysts rejuvenate to better than 100% of initial HDS RVA of fresh original catalyst.)
